By accessing or using Docket4Me (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Docket4Me.

2.1 What Docket4Me Does
Docket4Me is a litigation docketing platform that:
- Analyzes court documents using AI technology (Anthropic's Claude)
- Extracts potential deadline and docketing events
- Calculates compliance dates using automated rules engines (FL Rule 2.514, FRCP Rule 6(a), etc.)
- Generates formatted entries for legal case management systems
- Provides collaboration tools for legal teams
2.2 Important Limitations

Docket4Me is a technology tool that assists legal professionals in organizing and calculating deadlines. It does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client relationships. All output must be independently verified by qualified legal professionals before use in practice.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Professional Use Only
You agree that you will:
- Use the Service only for legitimate legal professional purposes
- Independently verify all calculations and extracted information before relying on them
- Maintain appropriate professional judgment in all legal matters
- Comply with all applicable laws, rules of professional conduct, and court rules
- Safeguard your account credentials and maintain account security
3.2 Document Review and Verification
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI extraction may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations
- All deadline calculations must be independently verified before use
- You are solely responsible for ensuring accuracy of all docket entries
- Local rules, holidays, and case-specific factors may affect calculations
- The Service is a starting point for your professional analysis, not a replacement for it
3.3 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Upload documents containing protected health information (PHI) without proper safeguards
- Share account access with unauthorized individuals
- Use the Service to violate client confidentiality or attorney-client privilege
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or circumvent the Service
- Use the Service in ways that violate applicable law or professional ethics rules
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
4. Data Ownership and Confidentiality
4.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of all documents, case information, and data you upload to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. However, by uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
4.2 Confidentiality Measures
While we implement reasonable security measures, you acknowledge that:
- Cloud-based processing inherently involves some data transmission and storage risks
- Third-party AI services (Anthropic) process your document content
- No system is completely secure against all potential threats
- You are responsible for evaluating whether our security meets your firm's requirements
5. Subscription Terms and Billing
5.1 Service Plans
We offer various subscription plans with different features and usage limits. Current pricing and plan details are available on our website. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
5.2 Billing and Payment
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Usage-based fees (per document processed) are billed monthly in arrears
- Payment is due upon receipt of invoice
- We may suspend access for non-payment after reasonable notice
- Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You remain responsible for all charges incurred before cancellation.
6. Limitation of Liability

- Compatibility with your specific jurisdiction or local rules
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- Security against all potential data breaches or unauthorized access
6.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Docket4Me be liable for:
- Any missed deadlines, incorrect calculations, or missed opportunities resulting from use of the Service
- Professional malpractice claims or sanctions arising from reliance on our output
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, business, or professional reputation
- Data loss or corruption (beyond our reasonable backup efforts)
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
6.3 Professional Responsibility
You acknowledge that you are ultimately responsible for all legal work product, client communications, court filings, and professional obligations. The Service is intended to assist, not replace, your professional judgment and independent verification.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Docket4Me and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, algorithms, user interface, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service according to these Terms.
8.2 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service become our property and may be used to improve our products and services without compensation to you.
9. Privacy and Data Processing

10. Modifications to Service and Terms

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12.3 Limitation on Claims
Any claim arising from your use of the Service must be filed within one (1) year after such claim arose, or it will be forever barred.
13. Miscellaneous
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Docket4Me regarding the Service.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
13.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
